Weddings, Farewells, Jobs, and Much More!!

Wow have I been busy since I have been home from Arizona! There have been so many great things happening, and a few not so great! ha To start off with some of the great things, we came home to a Lindsay family reunion... It was a total blast and so great to see all of the family! :) Here are a few pictures from up at the cabin that we stayed in:

Now for the next item of business, Aubree and Austin are married now!! YAY... They got married a little over two weeks ago, and they are such an adorable and happy couple! Their house is way cute, and they have a lot of fun things:) When I got home from AZ than me, Aubree, and my mom dipped chocolates for the reception for 3 days straight! It got old fast... There were a lot of things we did to prepare for the reception and wedding day, but it was all worth it and turned out perfect! Here are a few pics of us starting to decorate a little for the reception...

Next item of business... The fourth of July was way fun!! It was the first one that Ty hasn't had to work in like three years! We had a blast at the parade and the fireworks! We also went out to dinner with Ty's parents and to a movie! Here are pics at the parade with Ty's family and mine...





Then Andy had his farewell, but he actually broke his hand the night before Aubree's wedding and the doctor in Idaho said he would need surgery and wouldn't be able to leave on his mission on time. He was so bummed, but we got him to a doctor in Utah who did the surgery and said he could leave when he is supposed to! What a relief:) Anyways, he did a great job on his farewell talk, and we have had fun hanging out with him before he left this morning!

And my last super exciting bits of news are that number one) I got a job as a nurse at EIRMC, the hospital in Idaho Falls, YAY!! And number two) we are moving into an apartment in Rexburg August 15th, and I can't wait!!

Craft night and more!!

Wednesday night was our craft night and we made cute scarfs that my cousin Aly taught us how to make! It was a blast... Here is us in the process of making them!



Here are the scarfs completed... they are kind of hard to see but they turned out way cute! :)



Then on Thursday we made cupcakes with some cute little girls in our ward! It was lots of fun! We all had cute little apron's on and felt like Betty Crocker:) ha And then we put the cupcakes in adorable cupcake boxes and sent them home with the girls!!




On Friday we went to Wet n' wild water park in phoenix! It was so fun and way hot... I got a little sun burn, but hopefully it won't peel and just turn to a nice tan! :) After swimming we went to eat dinner at In n Out Burger, and believe it or not, it was my first time eating there! I don't even like hamburgers, but I liked In n Out's burgers:)



I also took some pictures of different cactus' because they are so awesome! Rusten asked me to dig one up and bring it home to him when I come, but that is actually against the law in AZ! You can get fined and I think even put in jail for digging them up... Crazy!! But they can get so huge, and they are so pokey so I don't even know how anyone would be able to dig one up!




And last but not least, the cute men in the house right now! Tyler, Craig and Teegan asleep in his 'fortress' that his dad made around him! ha Such cute boys, love them!

Dental Apps and Prescott Valley :)

Dental school applications opened on June 1st and Tyler has basically been working on those non-stop! It is such a long and expensive process, so hopefully it will all be worth it by him getting accepted to a school! He was busily working on his application night and day...


But after 20+ hours of him working on it he finished! He was so happy to be done that we treated ourselves to a matinee of Pirates of the Caribbean: On Strangers Tides! It was pretty good:) We watched all 3 of the old Pirates of the Caribbean movies in order to gear ourselves up for the new one! ha Here is Ty's excitement after finishing applications! YAHOO!!


We took a nice walk today and found this pretty waterfall!:)


So... Me and Tyler decided to make a list of things we love, and things we don't love so much about Prescott Valley! Here it goes!

THINGS WE LOVE:
1. Wearing sandals every day


2. The sunshine and high temperatures


3. Embraced Orthodontics... Especially Dr. Young


4. Wet n' Wild Water Park


5. Scottsdale Fashion Square Mall (and all of the other great shopping! Seriously, I used to think that Gateway had good shopping, but I am now reconsidering that thought... And of course I love my favorite store of all... H&M)



6. The Young Family!! They are the best part of the whole thing, we love them:) We didn't have a picture of all of them together, but here is Aly and Teegan! Such cute people...


Of course there are other great things and great people here, but these are the main ones that we love! :)

THINGS THAT WE DON'T LOVE SO MUCH:
1. The insane wind


2. Southwestern Decor (ha seriously it is everywhere.. Like little booths and stands on the side of the road)


3. Photo cop (HATE... Tyler has already gotten 2 tickets from this in a month!!)


4. Tumbleweeds that are the size of your car! (There are tumbleweed storms and me and Tyler drive our car like we're in Mario cart dodging the tumbleweeds! It's kind of fun. ha)


5. The ugly scenery in a lot of areas!


So if any of you have ever considered moving to Prescott than here are pros and cons! It is a great place overall, but the wind is very crazy! :) We are loving Arizona and keeping busy. We are excited to come home in about 3 weeks for my sister Aubree's wedding, and for my brother Andy's farewell!

So I haven't posted anything for about a year and I was never planning on posting anything until Aubree decided to mention to the whole blog world that I actually do have a blog! Thanks Aub:) ha So I had forgotten my password and email that I used and everything, and smart little Aubree told me to just reset it all... Hmm! That took some serious brains for me to figure that one out!

Anyways, since there has been a lot happen in the past year, I will just post some of our latest happenings! We are living in AZ for the summer while Tyler does an internship with my cousin! He really likes it so far, and I am loving the warm weather! It is a definite change from Idaho... We were in Phoenix last weekend at the water park and the temperature was 102 degrees!! YAY, I love it:) Tyler got into the car and cranked up the A/C and I turned it off because I enjoyed the heat in the car... He was all 'if you don't let me turn that A/C on right now than I will never consider living in AZ.' ha so I let him turn it on:)

We are staying with my adorable cousin Alyson and her family for the summer while we are here, and they are so much fun! She has the cutest kids ever!! Here are a few pics of her kids...



Tonight us girls went out to get pedicures and pamper ourselves! It was very fun and relaxing... I did a bright orangish color, alyson did turquoise, and Kelsey did purplish pink! Here is a picture my toenails, and one of all of ours:)


Last item of business... I looked through a home magazine today and found some awesome ideas for when I have my own house built in the far away future when Ty finishes dental school! ha These are not the exact ways I want things done, but I do like them for ideas! The first is what I want Ty and my bedroom to be similar to (I love the white brick stuff on the wall), the next two are different living rooms I like, then an office, and then a cute little kids room! Enjoy:)
