Our trip to Idaho!!

We had the most wonderful time visiting family and friends in Idaho this month... We were there from June 3-14, and like always, it flew by and didn't feel long enough:) While we were there we were able to be part of the celebration for his grandparents 50th wedding anniversary... They are such a wonderful example to us! There were a lot of friends and family there to support them. I also got to meet my new niece, Jaynee, and spend a lot of time w her and my sweet niece Saydee! They are so perfect and I love them both SOOOO much!!;) 

My amazing family threw a baby shower for my sweet little boy, and everyone is so wonderful and supportive and I had TONS of friends and family come to enjoy the evening w me! I appreciated it all SOOO much and loved seeing everyone!

We also went four wheeling one day w my brother and his friend, and that was a blast!! Ty loved it!!

Then we went to Yellowstone national park w the family... We went to old faithful and then that night we went to west Yellowstone to playmill theatre (which I LOVE), and stayed the night there, and then went to Mesa falls the next day... It was all so beautiful:)

Since we have been back in charleston, things have been busy with lots of little projects to do before baby boy is born! We finished our patio, cleaned out the guest room to start on the nursery, and have been busy with those things! So far we're liking how it's all turning out!:) baby boy is growing lots and he's moving LOTS too!! He's getting strong with his kicks and moving and everything... It's so fun! Here's is a pregnancy pic from when I was 26 weeks... He's grown even more since this!.. Ha

We're so happy to have a healthy, strong, growing baby boy... We can't wait to meet him soon!!:) hopefully only 2 more months tops!:) ha 

I LOVE summer!!

This has been such a fun month, with so much going on and not any down time... But I love it that way!!:) I'll highlight a few of the fun things this month has come with... We went to a riverdogs baseball game (charleston's semi-pro team) with some great friends and had yummy food and lots of fun!!

Then some friends of ours had a big get together for cinco de mayo, and we had a yummy 'cafe rio' night which was of course delicious!:)

My sweet husband wanted to spoil me rotten for my first time (almost) being a mom for Mother's Day... So he got us a nice place in Hilton head for the weekend and we explored that amazing place and spent a lot of time at the beach! We loved it there, and would love to go back again (it's only a little over an hour from charleston, so we will prob go again soon)!! 

Some other exciting news is that we bought kayaks!! We love them and have gone quite a bit already... It's so fun and can be such a workout at the same time:) we will def be using them a lot, and anyone is welcome to come visit us and test them out as well!:) ha

Ty has also gotten really into fishing, both kayak fishing and surf fishing:) it's actually really fun to go w him because there are such big and unique fish in the ocean! In fact, he caught a shark the other day!!

And for even MORE excitement from May, my little sister Aubree had my sweet niece Jaynee 2 weeks ago... She is tiny and darling and perfect in every way!! I can't wait to meet her in 3 days when Ty and I get to go home to Idaho for a little visit!!

Anyways... Everything's going wonderful for us and our sweet little baby boy is growing ALOT and doing great:) he's moving a lot, and I love every second of it!! We are already obsessed w him, and we haven't even met him yet!!:) we feel very blessed for all of the great things we have going on!! Hoping that June is just as great as May has been for us (I know it will be)! 😀 have a great Sunday!..

Our sweet baby boy (and my nieces)!!

Ty and I are sooo happy to be having a little boy! I don't like to go into much detail, but I am going to share some of the fun things about this pregnancy so far! I should start by saying that at first, it was not too fun because of morning sickness kicked my butt! Thankfully that went away at about 17 weeks, and I've felt really great ever since:) also at 17 weeks I began to feel my little sweetie move and kick... It's so fun to feel that and to know that he's okay! Tyler also felt him kick for the first time at about 19.5 weeks, which was so exciting and made everything even more real for him! 

He is almost a pound now, and about 20.5 weeks! We can't wait for September to come so we can love and cuddle him! After I found out what I was having, I went on a little shopping spree, and I can tell its gonna be so hard to resist buying everything for him! I went a little overboard maybe?, but no one can ever have enough clothes, right?!;) 

For some other exciting news... My sister is due to have her second little sweet baby girl in a few weeks and I cannot wait!! She's due May 26, and I get to go home the beginning of June, so I will get to love on her and sweet perfect little Saydee too!! Speaking of Saydee... Here's some cuteness from her!

I mean seriously, do they come any cuter?!.. She's so fun, I just love her:) so there is a lot of baby excitement in my family the next few months and were so happy!  Tyler and I feel so grateful and blessed to get to be parents and have this sweet little boy in our home.... We cannot wait!! :)

Quick trip to Jacksonville

Tyler had spring break the beginning of the month, and although most of it was uneventful, we did take a little trip to Jacksonville Florida. Our great friends, Thorn and JoAnna, came with us and we just love them!:) we basically went down there to get a burrito from Sweeto Burito, because our friends just opened a franchise there. It was sooo worth the drive... BEST burritos EVER!! And we loved seeing Tyrel, Julie, and Daniel!:)

We stayed at a hotel that night and then went to a delicious brunch the next morning. We shopped around some fun little shops as well. Then we went to the Jacksonville Zoo, and it was so fun! Tyler and Thorn were like little kids at the zoo cause they were so excited about all the animals... Ha!

Anyways we had a great time!! The rest of our month has been wonderful and busy! I feel like I have had NO down time, but it's always nice to stay busy! Ty has about a month left of this semester, and then he is off for the summer... This is his only summer during all of dental school that he gets off, so we're really gonna enjoy it! We're also going to Idaho in June for a visit, and we are SOOO excited... Especially since my new niece (Saydee's little sister) will just be born! Life is amazing! Have a great day!!:)

February is for birthdays!!!

This month has been wonderful!! I feel like there has been a birthday of a close friend or family member every day, so we've basically partied all month long;) my bday was on the 3rd, and it was such a memorable birthday! Tyler had to study all day, so my friends made a delicious dinner for me and then we all went out for dessert... I love my friends!!

Since Ty couldn't hang out w me for my bday, he took me out that weekend for a yummy dinner and ice cream cake... And he got me some great gifts:)

Then... Tyler's birthday was on the 17th and so we went out to dinner to a delicious burger place w our friends!

Then I made him his favorite ice cream grasshopper cake and we played games w friends and ate that yummy cake!!

Both of us are feeling very grateful for our health and all of our blessings as we turn another year older! This year may be the best one yet;)

We also have had some ups and downs w the weather here this month, but we went on a beautiful beach walk the other week and have enjoyed some nice 70 degree weather some days!

On a different note... My sweet grandma passed away the day after my bday. She sure will be missed!! She was an amazing lady, and I will always remember her and look up to her. I know she is in a better place now, and I'm so happy for her to be w her husband and parents and son (my amazing dad) and family/loved ones who she had been missing a lot!

Anyways, life is going good and we're keeping busy! Can't wait to see what next month has in store for us!!

Time to get back to blogging!!

I thought I was going to give up on blogging because it's so time consuming, and sometimes I don't know what to say... BUT I made a New Years goal to write in my journal or on my blog at least once a month this whole year, so here goes post #1 this year:)

There has been so much that has happened since I last posted, so I'll just quickly recap what's going on in our lives! Ty is in his last semester of his first year of dental school... He is doing well in all of his classes, and I'm very proud of all his hard work and dedication! He has picked up a new hobby... Fishing!! He's obsessed w it and wishes he had more time to go. He actually talked me into getting a fishing license and pole so I could go w him too! I'm not super into the fishing part, but it's nice to go out w him and tag along (especially in the kayak)!!

I'm still working at the same job I started when we moved to charleston... It's at the hospital where Ty goes to school, so we get to ride together, which is nice! I really like my job, and the people I work with... And it's Monday- Friday so I have every weekend and holiday off!:) I stay super busy between work, my church calling, and my wonderful friends! It makes it easier since Ty is always so busy with school...  

We went to Idaho for Christmas, which was a total blast! It was so great seeing all of our family and friends:) there really is no place like home for the holidays!..

AND I have a slight obsession w this sweet little thing! She is sooo fun and I love her so much! I couldn't get enough of her... I'll be excited to meet her cute little sis who's due in May!! YAY:)

So life is great and I couldn't be happier... Ty and I are doing wonderful and staying incredibly busy! We're looking forward to a wonderful year this year!!
