Life's happenings lately

Life has been so busy and so wonderful lately!.. Tyler is busy with school, and will be taking finals for this semester in about 3ish weeks! Since he gets so busy during finals, Oliver and I decided we will fly home to visit our family during that time, and then Tyler will fly out after he's done so that he can be w us all for the holidays!! We are so excited to take little Oliver home to meet our families!!:) I'm loving being a mommy to my little sweetie, and love watching him do new things and learn new tricks. He is very strong and loves to stand up (he only needs our help for balancing purposes). He loves to smile, and he gets so excited that he tries to laugh but it gives him the hiccups, and he hates that!! Ha he also loves to sit up, and he's learning to roll over, but hasn't mastered it quite yet (he's getting pretty close though)! He talks (coos) all the time and has the sweetest little voice:)

For Halloween he was a cute little dinosaur... We went to a church Halloween party. We also went to a friends Halloween party, and then went and visited with some other friends... Oliver is very social and loves to be around people! 

One of my very favorite things is how he drinks his bottle... His eyes get so big and he just stares at me. He also HAS to hold my pinky finger or else he gets thrown off and doesn't eat well... It's so sweet and tender:)

Another thing he loves is bath time!! He's so happy when he's in the bath, and he freaks out when we take him out at the end... Ha!

He's also a total cuddle bug, and he loves to be snuggled and to sleep:)

We went to the state fair here a few weeks ago and it was really fun... Oliver was super intrigued by all of the lights and loud noises and people!;)

Basically he's perfect and everything we do is more fun w him around... Different, but fun!:)

We're so excited to go home to see family soon, we can't wait!! We're also excited to spend thanksgiving here w friends:) happy thanksgiving!!

Lots of firsts for Oliver

This past week has been the first time we have really been able to be out in public with Oliver.... His dr didn't want him out before then! We were starting to feel a little cooped up, so it has been wonderful to be out and about:) a few of the things that he did for his first time were:

First road trip!! We went to Asheville, NC to see the changing leaves and pretty scenery:) it was a nice day drive for us!

Oliver also had another first experience... He went to church on Sunday!! He did pretty well, and looked so cute in his little suspenders:)

It has been a little colder here in the mornings and evenings, so I have had to start bundling Oliver up when we go out on walks and stuff... He looks so cute and cozy when I do it!! Here he is on our walk the other morning;)

Anyways... Life is great and Oliver is such a sweet little boy! Ty and I are super in love with him, and we sit and stare at him for hours:) Tyler is doing great in school and I'm so proud of him... He puts a lot of hard work into it! I am loving being with Oliver 24/7, and I will never get tired of his snuggles and holding him!!

So it's super late at night and I realized it's the last day of September... Which means I HAVE to write a blog post if I want to keep up with my new year goal of writing a post each month! So I'm basically going to just post a lot of pics of my sweet Oliver!! 

He is such a cutie pie and we love him so much!! He is 6.5 weeks old now, and I can't believe how fast time is flying by!! He LOVES to cuddle and be held, so since we try not to co-sleep, it makes it so he doesn't sleep at night AT ALL cause he's not being cuddled!! That's kinda rough for me to be up all night, but he's worth it:) 

As you can see... He's absolutely adorable and perfect (and were a little obsessed with him... Ha)! He is such a blessing in our lives and we're so grateful for him and for his health! He's definitely gaining weight and healthy and strong as you can see in the pics from the first to the last:) I'll post more next month!:) ha goodnight!!
